Future Predictions 2050 Out – something fun to imagine, I’ve got the dreamer’s disease 🙂

1. AI will become mainstream – not just the commercial ‘Four’ type use cases (data monetisation – beyond just trading our privacy 4 value)
   1. Humanity x AI collaboration will see a quantum leap in  space tech 
   2. AI will be ‘split’ into on-world (Earth) and off-world (space faring, space tech) applications – holograms will take over as primary   Human x AI interface 
   3. Cybernetics will become mainstream – extending human life spans, eradicating disease (medtech will improve by leaps and bounds) 
   4. Cryogenics and other methods of stasis  will become mainstream to facilitate space travel (light years)
2. The metaverse, alternate realities consume >50% of our time // life (on-world Earth) // work and play will see mass migration into the metaverse – the first singularity. This will be the golden age of the Immersion/Presence Economy (after Experience Economy) 
3. Scarcity vs Abundance (Dystopian vs Utopian) scenario will be 50/50 – quite a lot of commodities will be trending towards zero cost – the space race of the 2020s  will create new wealth, newly terraformed/habitable planets – the 2nd singularity (within our galaxy)
   1. More, increasing % of  time will be spent in the ‘future’ and achieving human purpose – e.g. spacefaring, exploration and seeking knowledge (our form of ‘enlightenment’) 
   2. There will be less discrete ‘old’ religions – instead something like scientology/logic based ethos will evolve 
   3. Existence, consciousness may eventually become energy/matter 
4. Governments will become puritan policymakers (less financialisation – going into DeFi) and meta-governments/island states, nations, DAOs and other communities will reach critical-mass by 2030 e.g. in the metaverse (controlling vast amounts of influence and power, backed by cryptocurrencies and CDBCs) 
   1. New policies governing space-time and working with potential alien species etc. 
   2. Value will b pegged increasingly on time, less worldly wealth.. and other rare minerals found off-world 
   3. Trading will be interplanetary and inter-species 
   4. Governments will morph into united federations across galaxies 
5. The space race will bring about  the 3rd singularity – the discovery of warp drive capable of light speed travel.
